Robert Frank

It was only logical that i would move onto Robert Frank next.

Born in europe in 1924 and raised Jewish he lived through the second world war safely due to the fact he grew in switzerland. He moved to America in the late 1940's to pursue his passion for photography.

His most famous work is a photo-book published in the late 50's entitled 'The Americans'

I can see why his work can be viewed as important and as a book, 'The Americans' is brilliant. Yet I find individually some of his images are lacking something that you can see in the work of people like Winogrand and Cartier-Bresson, there is a feeling that I feel is lacking here.
