People intrigue and fascinate me, especially their psychology, What they think, how they think it, how they express their thoughts, trying to predict outcomes and seeing how differently people react to a common stimulus all of this fascinates me but it is upon the latter that I wish to concentrate. Everyone is different, that is true but how differently do we react and what do we have in common with people who have similar reactions, is it race, style, class or is it just as random as it may seem. My aim is to find some situations where I can observe a number of people reacting to the same stimulus, be it as mundane as choosing where to sit in a coffee shop or as exciting someone making them jump or reacting to amusing events. I would like to display these images in triptychs or groups to show the variance of people reactions and aim to keep consistencies between the images to greatly accentuate the differences. I intend to use digital techniques for this project as the sheer volume of images I potentially will end up taking may cause costs to go beyond my means with regard to purchasing film.
